This April, the Little Sewickley Creek Watershed Association will be sponsoring a “Bio Blitz,” intended to identify and catalogue different types of life in Walker Park; including fish, macros, fungi, trees, wildflowers, insects and whatever other specialty can be found. While Walker Park will be the home base, other areas of Sewickley may be utilized depending upon the amount of volunteers and interest.

The tentative date is set for Sunday, April 27th, 2025. Data and photos will be collected of everything that is found. The LSCWA will be sure to share and publish the results. For more information or if you’d like to volunteer, please reach out to Chriss O’lare via email.
